A downloadable Zine

The Laser 210 was an 8-bit computer created by the Hong Kong-company VTech in 1983.

This little zine tells the story of the computer from the view of myself - when I first got it as a Christmas gift, and how I later found a new one.

It also tells the story of a Russian Spy, a bit about the software and community - and some other information that might be of use to any 8-bit historian.

If you are a Fantasy Console-developer, but wasn't around during the 8-bit era - it might be fun to see what these things actually looked like...

Loved it! BTW in Italy it was not known as "Seltron 200" but just as Laser 210. And it was not sold in stores, but distributed with a computer class (BASIC). VTech also made a more powerful line of Lasers, the 350/500/700 with a better video chip and keyboard.

Thanks for the input! Yes - the names, specs and everything surrounding the Laser/VTech-computers are shaky, to say the least! The Seltron 200 might come from one distributor, while other distributors simply imported the Laser 210 directly from Hong Kong, which seem to have been easy at the time.

There are, by the way, hardware hacks to get more colors and higher resolution - and they're not even that complicated!
